A RAINY DAY IN ZIONS CANYON

Paula came to visit us for the weekend and she took us to Zion's National Park this afternoon. It is a cool rainy day with periods of fog. We could still see some beautiful scenes. We are having an enjoyable time with her. We went to Cafe Rio last night in St. George and to JB's in Hurricane this afternoon on our way back from Zions.

MY AMARYLLIS IS GROWING FAST

I put this Amaryllis on my blog just last Monday and it was just beginning to bloom. Look how much it has grown in just 5 days. I have really enjoyed watching this grow from a small bulb just 6 weeks ago to the way it looks today.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY DAD & MOM KENDALL

George Weldon and Hannah Morley Kendall were married on January 16, 1939 in Nephi, Utah. They would be celebrating their 70th wedding anniversay. They were sealed in the Manti Temple on April 27th, 1957. Perry, Cherrill, Garth and Janine were sealed to them that day. Bert was born in the covenant in Feb. 1955. On their 50th anniversary we held a big party in

the Moroni Senior Center, and they had a very good time. Dad's band came as a surprise for him and played the music. We invited the whole town to come and celebrate. Blaine was on his mission to Washington D.C., so he was the only one of the family that was unable to attend. We held a family dinner prior to the open house for the whole town. A lot of people came. Mom told me later that it was the best 50th anniversary they had had in Moroni. She did not want us to do it before the fact, but she was very glad that we did after it was over and it turned out Great.

Dad wanted us to do it all along, he was always ready for a party and music. :)

This kitchen has just about anything I need for cooking except a potato peeler, so I have been using a short little paring knife with a really thin blade and am peeling the potatoes like Grandma Theora Anderson used to.

The smallest bedroom had a computer desk and chair all ready for us to set up our computer.

SCENES OF CANYON COVE

Grandpa has his four wheeler loaded and ready to hit some trails as soon as he gets the chance. This unit #25 is one of the nicest ones in the subdivision, all newly remodeled.

Grandpa took a hike just west of our house and found this beautiful spot.

On his hike he came across this nice piece of land for sale. I guess we'll build our mansion on top of the hill overlooking Canyon Cove. :)

This is our dining area. Notice the flower I have growing on the table. It is one that I planted while we were still in South Jordan and brought it with us so I can watch it bloom. It gets bigger every day. The colors will match this house perfectly.

This is the living room, with the 52 inch Plasma TV. It is great to watch the Jazz on this set.

The big sofa is really comfortable to take a cat nap on while watching TV.

HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM SUNNY ST. GEORGE :)

We finally made it down to Canyon Cove for our 2 month stay in hopefully warm and sunny Washington. The weather is supposed to be sunny and warm today with a high in the middle 50's. We are just getting out and about and trying to find our way around. We found Walmart and a nice grocery store called Nisson's. We found Big Lots and the DI. :) We are very happy that there isn't any snow on the ground. On a nice day we plan to go to Zions Canyon.

This is unit #25 that we are living in until March 6th or 7th. It is extremely nice inside, just like the pictures that we saw on KSL.com before we rented it. Happy New Year to you all.
